Dear Friends,
I’m pleased to share that we’ve concluded our search for an assistant priest. After many resumes, phone interviews and three different candidates coming for on-site interviews, we extended an offer to the Reverend Robert M. Kunes, and he will join Galilee’s ministry team on June 20th.

Rob hails from Charleston, South Carolina. He finished his undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston, majoring in English Literature, and recently completed his seminary training at Nashotah House in Wisconsin. Rob is married to Julie Kunes, who holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Connecticut. Rob and Julie’s son, Robert, turns two next month and Julie is due to deliver their second child in August.

I look forward to working with Rob over the next several years, and ask you to give him and his family a warm welcome on June 20th. We will have a special coffee hour after the final service as part of their welcome—and in early September, we will host a larger reception welcoming both the Kunes and the new Music Director.
