News This Week at Galilee:
  • Thursday Night Live begins tomorrow, Sept 18th at 6pm with dinner..
    • Our menu includes: Curried chicken and wild rice, Richard Welton's famous tomato pie, Spinach and mandarin orange salad, Parmesan french bread, Chocolate and coconut snowballs, Cost is $5.00
    • 6:00 - Alpha
    • 6:30-  Focus groups (pre-registration required); Confirmation class, Bible Study and other forums
    • 7:00 - Praise Team
    • 7:30- Adult Choir
    • Children's programming in KidStuff beginning at 6pm
  • Ice Cream Social. Sunday, Sept. 21st, 6:30-8:30pm,  Babysitting available. We are  forming new Koinonia Groups (small groups).   Come for fellowship, information, and to join a small group at Galilee.   Find out what it’s all about!   • For all who are interested in being confirmed here at Galilee, or if you’d just like to get an education on the basics of the Christian faith and the Anglican tradition, please join us for the kickoff of our Fall Confirmation Class.  Two separate classes will be held - one for teenagers and one for adults.  Both classes will cover the same general themes: 1) The good news of the Christian message in a broken world, and 2) The church’s good and joyful response to God’s redemption.  Our main resources are the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer, and students will receive a substantial introduction to each.
    • ·      Students, 8th grade and older, will have class on Wednesday nights beginning Sept 17th from 6:30-7:30.  Caroline and Ross Byrd are your primary teachers and all meetings will be held in the Downstairs Meeting Room at “The Guy’s House,” down the hill from the church.  Dinner will be provided.
    •          Adults will have class on Thursday nights at Galilee beginning Sept 18th, as a part of “Thursday Night Live.”  Your primary teacher is Eleanor Schoonover.
