JUSTIN LAUKA

Born and raised in Michigan in a family with five children, including a twin brother, Justin soon encountered the challenges that come with having many siblings. He attended Michigan State University majoring in finance; hwoever, it was through such activities as being a Resident Assistant in a dorm, a Bible Study leader, and a camp counselor, that he came to realize it was serving the hurt and broken of the world that he desired. After obtaining a second degree in psychology, he spent a year of service in AmeriCorps, coordinating a literacy program for undeserved youth. Justin says: "I have gained a strong belief in the importance of the family unit, and hope to pursue a career in counseling after earning a master's degree from Regent. I look forward to hanging out with the high school ministry and just getting to know the Galilee community in general."
